- I am currently in the PhD Pastoral Counseling program at Loyola. My research interest is in the development of spirituality during adolesence and the spiritual/religious interventions that promote resiliency. If you have similar interests or if you know of effective programs for adolescents, I would like to communicate with you.
On a personal note, I guess you could say I'm a swinging senior as this is my second career after 25 years as a special education teacher and administrator. Oh, the swinging part is because I love to go out dancing - especially African American hand dancing and line dancing.
I believe that hard work and excellence is important but one should also remember to have some fun!

We run an Equine Facilitated Mental Health Therapy ranch. We have discovered that youth find a deep spirituality through the work with the horses. It also provides them with problem solving opportunities and, in turn, solutions that they apply to their lives.
